I am the only person in the world with my real first and last name, as last verified in 2021.

This is both a boon and a curse. In view of the very conservative and competitive culture of my profession, and my strong desire to share more of my uncensored self with the world, I believe that some degree of pseudonymity is a better default for me in public forums (e.g., this website).

Complete pseudonymity and anonymity are in direct conflict with my desire to effectively surface amidst the Internet’s ever expanding universe of digital content. Accordingly, I have decided to go as "axonpotentials", a compromise that boosts my signal. Thank you for finding me among the noise.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

Like Gwern, the primary intended audience of this website is my future self, who has already forgotten. Regardless, I hope you find these shared synapses at least entertaining or even useful.

I am an American attorney and independent researcher.
