Build or Break (Anthem)” — a more singable version of “Build or Break”, described below. Spring 2025.

Build or Break (Industrial)” — I find mantras to be highly effective at shaping behavior, so I experimentally designed a song representative of the values I'd like to cultivate in the cultivar of my House. I was inspired by a multi-month reading group I ran at Seattle during Spring 2025, in which we studied religions and cultures (”cultivars”) and consequently designed our own cultivars and custom holidays.

“Songs Stay Sung (Pop)” — a calm pop version of one of my favorite rationalist songs, which I designed a romantic choreographed dance to with my husband. I ultimately enjoy improv over choreography — improv is more romantic to me — but this was a fun experiment. Spring 2025.

Songs Stay Sung (Electroswing)” — an electroswing version of one of my favorite rationalist songs, which I originally generated for a couple's dance with my husband during summer of 2025. I ultimately settled on a more calm, pop version of the song, despite this being my favorite version. Spring 2025.

The Order Never Orders” — A opening ceremony song I designed for a retreat I hosted during the summer of 2025. The general premise was that attendees were invited by a secretive elite organization known simply as “The Order”. It is revealed at the opening ceremony that “The Order” is actually shorthand for “The Order of the Uncommitted”, a group dedicated to not being committed. Various optional, improvisational activities exploring and parodying a lack of commitment and one's identity ensue, inspired by “Impro” by Keith Johnstone. Otherwise the repeated hook of “The Order Never Orders” strongly reflects my general feelings on participation and collaboration in my friendships, relationships, events, etc. I care deeply about people doing things because they want to, and I am strongly adverse to mandatory participation or help. Spring 2025.
